Definition of democracy

                                                           

Democracy in our school books =  of  the people , by the people , for the people

No , The definition of democracy is more Dipper  than it ! Here is the step by step meaning of democracy.

1.Democracy is the form of government which is ruled by elected members !
                  - In 1999 , Pakistan general pervez mushraf declared him self "Chief Executive" , later he changed his post as President and than did referendum in Pakistan and granted his own extension for 5 years ! IS it democratic way ? NO
                   - same case of Poland before failure of USSR , the Assembly of poland are elected members but took each decision on the advise of USSR

2.In democracy the final decision making power must rest in the hand of elected members !

                      - In china election are regularly held after each 5 years , nearly 3000 members are elected from china , some member elected by Army , but before contesting , A candidate need approval of chines communist party , only those who are members of chines communist party and eight supporting party are allow to contents election !

                    - In mexico, since independence 1930 , election are held after every 6 years but until 2000 , all  election won by PRI ( institutional revolution party ) , opposition party contents election but never manage to win cause dirty games played by PRI every time , election never be a independent!

3.A democracy must be free and fair election where those currently in power have fair chance to win or loose!

  But this also not 100% democratic way . there should be one person , one vote theory !
                - In saudi Arebia - Woman do not have right to vote

                - In Estonia - People belonging to Russian minority have no right to vote
                - In Myanmar also , some tribal group have no representation in elected assemble

                - In Fiji the value of vote of Fiji origin citizen are higher than Indian origin of Fiji citizen

                 - In USA also black citizen have not right to vote up to 1965

                 - Today the  70% Olympian medal winner from USA are black citizen !

                                 
4.In a democracy , each adult citizen must have one vote and each vote must have one value.
                           - Zimbabwe attained independence in 1980 , since that the country ruled by ZANU-PF party , election are also regularly held and each time president Mugabe won , he is also favorite in country but he harass the opposition leader , journalist who write against him , etc.
                                     
5.The example of Zimbabwe show that Popular approval of leader is necessary in democracy but it is not sufficient !  There should be normal room for political activity including opposition party and press !

6. A democratic Government ruled within limits set by constitutional law and citizen rights !

  Democracy is better than other system cause in democracy you are allow to correct your own mistakes !
