Letter to chief economic adviser - once again

Sir, on 4th of March, I wrote a letter to you to make you aware about some of the misconception in your description of the Tax nationalism. I do not write about theoretical aspects pertain to Nationalism, I kept myself limited to the point that- Indian citizen are fulfilling their obligation under "Contract" and not your Government. But, after that, some Political and Economical development took place in India that forces me to tell about the dangers of Tax nationalism.

I am quite sure that you read about the Rossues’s Social contract which considered the origin of the Modern state. Rossues’s Social contract is based on General will, in the simple term – the Legitimate government is that chosen by the people and act as per the wish of government. Rossue nowhere mentions about the Taxation as the Cohesive bond between Citizen and State.

But, The Neoliberal likes you don’t believe in classical realism. You define everything in terms of the Money. For you, Market becomes state and Consumer becomes a citizen. You quote Besley and Person and Define State contract through taxation which I like to call Tax nationalism.

Sir, Tax Nationalism is basically a selfish concept. You quote that “If a citizen does not pay, he becomes a free rider (using the service without paying), and cannot complain if the state provides a poor quality service.” But you failed to grapes that- Who pays tax will seek the service from the state in same proportion he/she pay tax. I hope you are aware of some proportion where wealthy people demand to categorized the Tax certificate through Gold, Silver, and copper. Gold Certificate holder will have a special lounge at the airport, the Special lane on toll etc. Though Government nowhere thinks on such proposal yet, it the danger always looms in tax nationalism.

Sir, Union Government 15th finance commission where government mention to consider 2011 census in the calculation in Term of reference. This heated the Politics of the South Once again. You and neoliberal like you should remember that we reached to verge on the split in the 1960s over the North-South division. It’s the Nehru’s brand of the socialism based on Equality to all prevent the split. But, Your tax nationalism poses a direct threat to it.

Here are some Example which may help to understand the fallacy of the Tax nationalism:-

CM of Karnataka tweet:-

This Is also goes viral on twitter - many elites retweeted this one:-

If Everybody considers himself - Herself as common Indian and not as the Taxpayer Indian then This might not happen:-

Dear chief economic adviser on another platform. I also read ( forget where) that some people say that Mumbai needs to give more representation in Parliment as it contributes more revenue.

So, Sir I just like to make a request that please leave this nonsense type of Tax nationalism and read Gandhiji and Tagore who consider everyone.

Yours sincerely
A free rider citizen as per your definition of Tax nationlism
