"Want to power in hand " this is the mean of Split in Indian politics ! There is no party in India who did not face split within party ! Indian politics have long and brief history of Slpits and Merging for getting power !
All time congi make target Arvind and Anna on their split but they may forgot that congress got splits more than 25 times ! And Anna splits is before launching of party , and congress face splits many time !
We have number of splits before and after independence, take example of UPA cabinet minister , each and every minister made separate party and later merged with congress this include name of P.chidambaram, AK anntony , pranava mukharjee , natavar singh,etc !
firstly I would like to start with the splits of Indian National congress :-
1.The All India Forward Bloc is a leftwing nationalist political party in India. It emerged as a faction within the Indian National Congress in 1939, led by Subhas Chandra Bose.
2.The Kisan Mazdoor Praja Party (KMPP) was a socialist[1] political party of India , In Indian National Congress dissidents led by J.B. Kripalani founded the KMPP. Two of its leaders, P.C. Ghosh and T. Prakasam had been chief ministers of West Bengal and Madras respectively. In September, 1952 it merged with the Socialist Party to form Praja Socialist Party[5]
3.Hyderabad State Praja Party, a political party in the Hyderabad State. HSPP was formed in 1951 when Tanguturi Prakasam and Acharya N. G. Ranga broke away from the Indian National Congress.
In April 1951 Ranga broke away and formed the Krishikar Lok Party. In June the same year the HSPP of Prakasam merged with Kisan Mazdoor Praja Party.
4.The Congress Reform Committee was formed by a group of dissidents that left the Indian National Congress in the Madras State. The CRC was led by C. Rajagopalachari, who had been defeated by Kamaraj in the inner-party disputes over leadership of the Congress in Tamil Nadu. CRC was formed just one month before the 1957 elections to the Lok Sabha and the Madras state legislative assembly.
Soon CRC began cooperation with the All India Forward Bloc of U. Muthuramalingam Thevar.
The CRC-AIFB combine contested 59 seats in the assembly election (54 candidates from CRC, 5 candidates from AIFB. One of the five AIFB candidates, P.K. Mookiah Thevar, stood as a CRC candidate). There was also an informal understanding with the Communist Party of India, which decided not to contest against the CRC in some constituencies.
5. The Swatantra Party was a classical liberal political party in India founded by Chakravarti Rajagopalachari and N. G. Ranga in August 1959. The party opposed the Nehruvian socialist outlook of the Congress Party by advocating free enterprise and free trade, and opposing the licence-permit Raj.
The Swatantra experiment of liberalism ended in 1974 by merging with Bharatiya Kranti Dal (led by Charan Singh), a coalition of left-wing, right-wing, and Hindu opponents of Congress Party rule.
6.The Kerala Congress is a recognized State political party in Kerala, India. The party was founded by K. M. George in October 1964 after a group of legislators decided to break from the Indian National Congress
7.Orissa Jana Congress (Orissa Peoples Congress, generally just called Jana Congress), a political party in the Indian state of Orissa. Jana Congress was formed in 1966 when Harekrushna Mahatab (former Orissa Chief Minister) left Indian National Congress. After the 1967 elections Jana Congress took part in a coalition government in the state together with Swatantra Party. That government lasted 1967-1969. In the 1971 and 1974 state elections Jana Congress fared badly, and could only win a single seat. In 1977 Jana Congress merged into Janata Party

9 The Bangla Congress was a regional political party in the Indian state of West Bengal. It was formed through a split in the Indian National Congress in the 1960s and later co-governed with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) in two United Front governments
10.The Manipur Peoples Party (MPP) is a political party in the Indian state of Manipur. MPP was founded on December 26, 1968 by a group of dissidents from the Indian National Congress
11.Congress (O) was a political party in India formed when Indira Gandhi (then the Congress president) broke away from the leadership of the Congress Party.
Congress (O) merged with the much larger Bharatiya Lok Dal and other parties to form the Janata Party as a more united opposition to Indira's rule. Congress (O)'s leader Morarji Desai served as Prime Minister of India of the Janata government from 1977 to 1979.
12.Utkal Congress was a political party in the Indian state of Orissa. UC was formed in 1969 when Biju Patnaik left Indian National Congress. After the 1971 Orissa elections UC took part in the Biswanath Das ministry in the state. In 1977 Utkal Congress merged into Janata Party.
13.Telangana Praja Samithi or Telangana Peoples Association was a Indian political party which fought for statehood for the Telangana region.
14.The Congress for Democracy (CFD) was an Indian political party founded in 1977 by Jagjivan Ram. It was formed after Jagjivan Ram left the Congress party of Indira Gandhi and denounced her rule during the Indian Emergency. The party contested the Indian general election, 1977 with the Janata alliance and later merged with it.
15.The Indian National Congress (Urs) was a breakaway faction of the Congress (I) led by D. Devaraj Urs. It broke away from the parent party in 1978 following Indira Gandhi's drubbing in the 1977 General Elections
16.Rashtriya Samajwadi Congress was a political party in the Indian state of West Bengal from 1986 to 1989. RSC was founded by INC leader Pranab Mukherjee, as a result of the leadership struggle within the Indian National Congress after the demise of Indira Gandhi.[1] Mukherjee was opposed to Rajiv Gandhi being appointed the prime minister of India. He saw himself as the rightful successor to the post due to his seniority within the party and was opposed to the dynastic nature of the transition
17.The All India Indira Congress (Tiwari) was a political party in India set up by dissident Indian National Congress party leaders Narayan Dutt Tiwari, Arjun Singh and K. Natwar Singh. The party later merged with the Congress party when Sonia Gandhi took over the party.
18. Karnataka Vikas Party (Karnataka Development Party), was a regional political party in Karnataka, India, formed when Sarekoppa Bangarappa left the Indian National Congress in 1996. KVP later reunified with Congress.
19.Goa Rajiv Congress Party, splinter-group of Indian National Congress in Goa, it';s made coalination with BJP and MGP to make government and finaly merged with NCP !
20.The All India Trinamool Congress founded by Mamata benergee and finaly merged with INC to make goverment as UPA 2 .
21Arunachal Congress (Mithi), was a break-away group of Arunachal Congress,. In 1999 AC(M) merged with Indian National Congress. It remained in power until 2003.
22.NCP was formed on 25 May 1999, by Sharad Pawar, P. A. Sangma, and Tariq Anwar after they were expelled from the Indian National Congress (INC) on 20 May 1999, for disputing the right of Italian-born Sonia Gandhi to lead the party. but now they are with INC in coalition goverment at both state and center !
23.Congress Jananayaka Peravai (Congress Democratic Front) was a political party in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was founded in 2001 by ex-minister P. Chidambaram and it merged with INC at the time when INC get position to make Goverment !
24.Thondar Congress founded in 2001 it's made alliance with NDA but on the failure in State election it merged with INC same year !
25.The Pondicherry Makkal Congress founded in 2005 firstly it support NDA but finally merged with INC !
26.Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) is a state political party in the state of Haryana India . It was started as a breakaway faction of the Indian National Congress (INC) party by former INC leader and former Haryana Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal, in 2007.
27.Congress (A) was a political party founded by A. K. Antony when he split from the Indian National Congress (Urs) a splinter group of the Indian National Congress. The party was primarily active in Kerala. The party merged with the Congress(I) in 1982.
