Pre Budget process - Revenue Estimate
The ‘Budget Division’ of the Ministry of Finance
obtains revenue estimates for the next year from a large number of
organizations
(September to January )
1.) Estimates of Direct Taxes :- Central Board of Direct Taxes in the Department of Revenue of Ministry of Finance
2.) Estimates of Indirect Taxes :- Central Board of Excise and Customs in the Department of Revenue of Ministry of Finance
3.) Estimates of External Assistance :-Controller of Aid Accounts and Audit –
4.)Estimates of Public Debt transactions:- Reserve Bank of India
(September to January )

7.)Estimates of taxes and receipts of the Union Territories. :- Chief
