An Open letter to Head of the So call Republic state of India – President of India

Dear President of India ,

                                I was guest ( tourist entry) of your House last week  and Here I am writing what I felt after the visit. Before that I like to write that : You may get angry OR You like my letter, its depend on your  thought  process but I felt it’s my duty to point out the Things What I felt that need to change. Many people Feel unsecure to write about BIG offices but I am not that one , I believe in Gandhiji who said : Never fear if truth is on your side.

                                Sir , Let me start with the Name of your office – “President of Republic state of India”. It’s Your post which made us different form the Democracy of the Britain. Our Founding father choose the Elected person as the head of the state in against to the nominated in Britain.  But, After visiting you place I confused whether to call it President house OR Viceroy palace ? Instead of paintings and Statues of the Our culture , your House is full of with the paintings , statues and theme of the colonial. It’s My advise to you to replace all colonial heritage with our beautiful heritage of the Ramayan , Sufism , Vijaynagara , Buddhism , Natural beauty of North east states , Memories of Freedom struggle etc. . Presence of the colonial heritage in highest office of our country made me  ….cant said in words. It’s awkward  feeling !!

                                In second ,  I specially came to Delhi to visit your place and with hope of great joy will be there . I have many things in my mind about your place. But When I was in your house there was some inner feeling which do not allow me to be happy. It might be the contradictory scene of your house and the house along with the rail tracks. I do not blame that President of India is responsible for the poverty but it’s moral duty of the Head of the state to live in less royal life when so much poverty prevailing in the country. I felt you must cut down the strength of the staff other than the Security staff. Cutting down of your one protocol of  dinner might Feed one poor family’s Dinner.

                                Third about the treatment of the  various people. I got checked thrice before entering in House. I am not complaining about security check . I like it . But what about the security check of the VIP cars ? I saw many cars entering your house without any security check . Does it mean that VIPs – Ministers , Defense personnel , Staff members do not pose any threat to “Our President of India” ??  I am not blaming any VIP , but I am worried about you and Security of the highest office of my country as we have example of the assassination of the Ex PM Mrs Gandhi , Use of the Car of the SP in pathankot attack and many more. Forgive me if there is procedure for the security check of the VIP and I am not aware about that. Sir, You are the Head of the “Republic” of India and So , each and every person shall treated equally. It may be Common citizen like me OR It may cabinet rank minister or it may be the Chief of army staff, Security check for the all shall be same.

                                In end as per the Gujarati tradition , It my duty to Give you a invitation to visit my home as You allow ( Though not invite) to visit yours. Sir , Believe me You will get equal treatment to my home what my other guests get. You will really feel that we are “Republic” state.
