Why leftist struggle to defeat rightist?

Populism is the buzzword of global politics today. Many political observers studying the rise of this phenomenon. From the Trump to Modi to Bolsenaro - The link which binds all together is populism. All these are populist. But these all are the rightist also. Rightist mean they support Nationalism against internationalism, Conservatism against liberalism etc. But this does not mean that Populism Mean Rightist politics. In fact, Populism is associated with the Left historically. Populism is all about to full fill the people demands and historically left do the politics of mass and Rightist do politics of elite. But, today left struggling across the globe to defeat rightist. Many forces are there and I cannot say a word about aboard politics but here I am writing about India.

Why left struggle to defeat rightist? Today, Rightist in power. Rightist has Paisa. Rightist has propaganda machinery. So, it's quite natural that left have to struggle a lot. But, Rather than this, the infirmities within left are more responsible for the emergence of rightist then their own capabilities. Here is one movie dialogue that perfectly fit on the situation of left in India today. This dialogue can be a source of inspiration to Leftist.

Let me analyse with the topic by topic that what left doing wrong? Actually, Left is doing nothing different than Right. This is the problem! 

First is ARROGANCE! Rightist did Demonetisation, Hasty GST and What not. Surreally they consider these as their proud moments. This is Arrogance. On the other hand, Left is more arrogant than rightist. Firstly, Leftist always remain in a mode that only they are truth speaker. They are even not ready to accept other views.  From Gandhi to Vivekananda, All believes that truth has hundreds of dimension. The more dimensions you see, the more truth you can grasp. But leftist consider themselves as supreme one and not ready to listen to others.

Let me give an example that where the Left fails. There are many who compare Modi with Hitler. Hitler and Modi is rightists but that does not mean Modi is Hitler and BJP is Nazi. When a citizens, oppose the portraying of the Modi as Nazi, Leftist simply call them Bhakt ( Modi Supporter). This is nothing but ARROGANCE.

Abhijeet Banerjee and Esther Duflo in their new book explain in an excellent manner that the denial and suppression of the views is the surest way to strengthen the Rightist. For Example, when Mr A, A Citizen (Having no political affiliation) opposes the leftist Bollywood director X's tweet where he compares Modi with Nazi. In a reply. Mr X portrays Mr A as the Bhakt. In that scenario, it's very likely that Mr A tilted towards the Right camp for forever.

Left have to shed this arrogance. Left have to learn to listen to everyone. In the information era, mass is empowered. Mass have their own views on every matter. Even though mass's views are shaped by the Whatsapp University and Leftist shaped from highly valued university JNU, Leftist have to listen to the mass. As there is no other alternative. The More they abuse the mass for being inferior to them in Education, Intellectualism etc., the more strength rightist gets.

Second is MORALITY. Left do have neither power nor paisa. So the Gandhiji also did not have power and paisa to fight against mighty Colonial regime. But Gandhi has to Moral power which is taller than Himalaya and Deeper than the Indian Ocean. It's not that Gandhiji did not change his stands, He changed his stands much time on many issues like Wars, League of the nation, Nuclear arsenal etc. But Gandhi always maintains that his present views are not as his old stands but his current views are as per the Satya which change with time.

But Leftist are morally Bankrupt. They have no moral power to fight against the Rightist. Both are Hypocrites. Left accused Rightist for the Violence in Babri 1992 and Gujarat 2002 but they refused to listen about the atrocities carried out by left governments in West Bengal and Kerala. Modi Government is not democratic and so not was the Basu's in Bengal.

Second example of their hypocrisy is about nationalism. Rightist is the champion of the nationalism. They are always!  Nationalism has many sheds. It's good somewhere and bad sometimes. It's totally a different topic. But a citizen who enjoys the Rights in Nation-state must have an affinity towards that nation-state. Constitution of ours provides right to Citizen to not sing Vande Mataram in cinema halls and it's opposed by the Rightist. But at the same time, When Leftist is being asked that - whether Chinese company should allow taking part in a trial of 5G of India? They answer without any thought and say yes in second and also provide 100 reasons in favour of it.

( Keep Remember that, Rightist Modi Government allowed Huawei to take part in 5G trial but not a single person from left oppose it though many experts of IT and Communication write against this decision. IS it not the duty of the left as opposition political party and ideology to stand for the national security? ) 

So the point is Vandalism on the Name of Vande Mataram is wrong and so to compromise national security by allowing Chinese company in 5G trial is. Both are wrong. What left do is, It oppose rightist vandalism on the name of Vande Mataram and at the same time ready to compromise national security on the name of the class fraternity. (Communist China). This is Hypprocisy. To boost the moral power, Left have to changes it stands on many issues including it's core issue.

Third is about the LANGUAGE?/EXPRESSION. Rightist are defames for their language. IT cell of the BJP may be one of the biggest organised Defamers in the world. But leftist are same. To shoot bullet is not only violence but violence reflect in your language and expression also. I can simply note the tinge of such violence in the tweets of the leftist and their views on the TV debates.

We all know How badly British treated Gandhiji! British threw him out of the train in South Africa to call him Naked Fakir. But Gandhiji's Expression were always polite. He never crosses his lines even in his language and expression. Left have a lot to learn from Gandhiji.

We must remember one simple thing that Most of Indians are politically neutral. They have their own views but they are not ideologically deeply connected either with left and Right. Today they are with Right and Left have to swing them in their side. To so do, Left has to first look different from Rightist that they are not today. Left is as Arrogant, Hypocrite and violent as rightist today.

To Sum up all things in one simple thing is that,  for the left to find the answer to this question ( Posed at bottom of the incident)

There was a TV debate between Kanaiya Kumar (Leftist) & Sambit patra (Rightist). 

Mr Patra Asked the Kanaiya to say - Lenin Murdabad, Stalin Murdabad. 

Kanaiya replied that - He follows Lenin but not oppressive Stalin and So Stalin Muradabad. 

Then Kaniya Asked Mr Patra to Say - Gaodse Muradabad. 

Mr Patra went silent on this.

But, Ground the reality in India is that - there are millions of Indians Who says - Godse Muradabad, Lenin Murdabad ! Now the question to the left is that Godse muradabad automatically make a person a potential supporter of the left, But How left provide space to those who also say Lenin murdabad ? Does Left have space to leave Lenin, Mao and Castro and Embrace Bose, Nehru and Lohia? If Answer is negative then in India, Left cannot provide the "Permanent" alternative to rightist.
