Shramik Special trains were in the news since the month of May. The government was heavily criticized in Media for mismanagement. In Counter reply, Rawilays Did Several press conferences and Provided data. This blog is a little effort to expose the claims made by the Railways, especially regarding the meals.

Before Exposing the Claims made by railways with the data, let me talk about some fundamental things. In the Gita, Krishna gives the message that "Intention matters more than action". The following two pics tell the intention of the Railways. Let's Have a look. 

The first picture is the IRCTC menu for the General Passenger where the cheapest “meal” cost the Rs.70. The second Picture is Railway board circular to the IRCTC in which, Railway Sanctioned the Rs.35 for the meal. ( Rs.15 for water and so total Rs.50). Here I left on the reader to Judge the intention of the Railway board for the Service to Shramik.

Railway began the operation of the Shramik Special on the date 1st May 2020. Railways Published circular on the date 2nd May 2020 which talks about Standard Operating Procedure. (SOP). Then On the 8th May, 6th Day after the SOP,  Railways Announced the Framework for the food to Shramik.

On the 2^nd May, Railway Suggest the States to provide food but Railways itself take more 6 days to Realised its own duty to serve the Shramik.

Let's have a Look that What Railways have served to the Shrmaik on the Name of the Food. I Accept that there is a financial limitation of the Rs.35 on the Local Administration of Railways, But I am sure that- In the Rs.35, Railway can serve better food than what they have served.

 And Now, Loot What Government of Gujarat serves to the Shramik. 

A Bhakt Reader Can say that the Government of Gujarat – A BJP government serves the Shramik well. For such fools, I like to make clear that- here I do not mean to play BJP-Congress Game. My sole intention to show that Railway Failed Miserably to Handle the Shrmaik.

As a Gujarati, I have a Pride on the Government of Gujarat that Provides good and Nutritious food to the Shramik Brothers and Sisters whom contribution is incalculable for the Development of Gujarat.

Now let's have a Report card of the Railways. There is a smell of the Scam in the Report card. Let's Have a Look.

As per the general manager, the railways had provided 85 lakh meals till the 28th of May. As per the IRCTC, They have served the 1.35 Crore meals till the 31st of May.

That Means, Railways have served 50 Lakhs Meals in the 3 days of - 29th,30th, and 3st May. I left on the reader to Judge that -  ये रिश्ता क्या कहलाता है?

There is One More "Jhol" in the Data of the Railways and IRCTC. Let first look at this...

In many (mainly) cases, Meals are provided by the State government and NGOs and Served by the railways. In fact, In the Case of Gujarat – Nearly all meals are provided by the Government of Gujarat. Now, It’s not clear whether the IRCRC and Railway data include such meals in their or not.
