( BEN – Mean Aanandi ben Patel , In Gujarat people call her “Ben” mean sister) The Literature of the leftist ideology is one of the richest literature in the world except for religious literature. “Legitimacy in crisis” is one of the Jewel of the leftist theory. As per the theory – Liberalism promotes capitalism in the sphere of economy and democracy in the sphere of the polity. But Capitalism and Democracy are inherently unstable. Capitalism pushes for the accumulation of the capital and begets inequality. While democracy is the rule of the majority where Common people assert their rights and seek welfare. Capitalist push for the lower taxation, Lower fiscal deficit, lower welfare spending etc which is anathema to the democratic demands of mass. Brexit is a Classical case of the legitimacy in crisis.
