The Literature of the leftist ideology is one of the richest literature in the world except for religious literature. “Legitimacy in crisis” is one of the Jewel of the leftist theory.

As per the theory – Liberalism promotes capitalism in the sphere of economy and democracy in the sphere of the polity. But Capitalism and Democracy are inherently unstable. Capitalism pushes for the accumulation of the capital and begets inequality. While democracy is the rule of the majority where Common people assert their rights and seek welfare. Capitalist push for the lower taxation, Lower fiscal deficit, lower welfare spending etc which is anathema to the democratic demands of mass.

Brexit is a Classical case of the legitimacy in crisis.  Globalization Help the Economy of Britain but not Help to “British citizen”. Globalization increase GDP of Britain but it also increases Inequality in the Nation. In short, Globalization makes clear the Cleavage of the “Politics” and “Economics” where GDP triumph over the Citizen needs. Where the Taxation Triumph over the votes.

Now let's look into the case of the Aanandiben Patel. Whole media discuss that the main reason is the “Patidar” aandolan and “Dalit” Aandolan. But when one analyzes in the subtle, You can easily line out the Link to the “Legitimacy in crisis” through different type.

Aanadiben patel government drew their legitimacy mainly from the Votes of the Upper caste. But Since mid-2013, BJP try to increase their influence in the SC and ST area and Adopted a number of the policies to appease SC ST votes. As result of these policies, BJP got success to win the All 26 Loksbha seats in Gujarat which include 3-4 SC ST dominated seat which I don’t remember that BJP ever win or Near to win. This Bring BJP closer to the SC ST but alienated them form Patidar from where party drew legitimacy . In all such tactics “BEN” government have to face the same “Legitimacy crisis” due to Patidar Vs Other Influence.

This is Just my perspective on the two Intensely discussed issue without considering this Aspect. As I read somewhere that : You should write when You don’t find what you want to read.
