But As per the Affidavit submitted by the Union government to the supreme court on 26th June, Government will need 135 crores of vaccine doses for the Month of August to December.

As you can note that the number of vaccine suppliers has been reduced to 5 from 8 on the 13th May. BB Nasal and Genova have been removed. The Reason is that their trials are still in 1st phase. VK Paul ( Head of Vaccine task force) and Prakash Javdekar ( I&B) minister both were aware of this reality. Even though they gave fake hope to the citizen during the 2nd week of May.  I Mention the same in my  Blogpost dated 14th May, Just a day after VK paul's Presentation of 216 Cr. doses.  

I think for such people, PM Modi warned the nation in his Adress to Nation on 7th June where PM Have said ["I also want to express this concern to you. Ever since the work on the vaccines started in India, comments made by some people created doubts in the minds of the common people"]

Furthermore, the number of doses of the covishild and covaxin also reduced drastically. Covishild reduced to 50 Cr From 75 Cr and Covaxin reduced t0 40 Cr. From 50 cr. The reason n is simple that the data presented to the citizen on 13^th May was far from reality. On 13^th May, Govemrent projected to procure 50 crore doses of covaxin in 5 months means 10 crore doses per month which are far greater than the production capacity of the Bharat biotech. ( Nearly 3 Crore doses per month)

Everyone knows that the figures of the 216 crore doses is unreliable to achieve even though the government took risk to put such figures in public. Here is the reason for that:

8 May was the day when India has the highest number of the covid cases registered. 2^nd week of the month was probably the week where India has the highest ever active covid19 cases. At that time queues of ambulances on the gate of the hospitals, people dying without oxygen were on the mind of the citizen. At such time, citizens showing vaccines as the only available option to get saved from such a horrible situation but the problem was that vaccines were not available as per the demand. So to assuage the people's anger, Government gave the lollipop of the 216 crore doses.

Form the 26^th June affidavit, it is clear that India neither get nor need the 216 doses of the vaccine.
