TOI Nominatated for the Sahitya Akademi Award

Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi: Akademi called an emergency meeting of the jury to discuss about the last time entry to TOI for the awards of the 2015. The jury members got impressed with the TOI headline of the 26th December on Modi’s visit to Pakistan.

But there are many categories of the Akadami awards and various members want to include the TOI in different category. Some prefer to include in the “Bhasha Sanman” while others want in the category of “Prize For Translation”. Some members even want to allow the entry under the category of “Bal Purskar”.As per the Fakingnews sources the nomination of the TOI is nearly fixed but some members of the jury opposed by saying, “A short story by news paper as headline may be a mistake of the editor but the supporter section presented the history of the TOI and there was consensus build up finally on the name of the TOI.

In the fraternity of  intellectuals there is an intense debate over the entry of the TOI for Akadami awards. Some rise the question: what will the newspaper do to oppose the intolerance debate in future? How can a news paper return the award as there is conflict of interest due to a recipient of the award and also a newspaper entity which have to maintain plurality in news. But some says that it’s more of the advertisement work than media and it’s nearly decided that TOI going to get the Sahitya Akademi award.
