E2E Yoajana: Government to link the IIT enrollment number with employment exchanges
Lyutnes
Delhi: The Union human resources development (HRD) ministry has decided to
double the tuition fees of IITs from current Rs. 90,000 annually to Rs 2 lakh
against the committee proposal of the three time hike.
After the strong reaction from the students, govt
announced the loan facilities for the students. Our FN sources informed that
the finance ministry is in no mood to approve the schemes of loan to the IIT
students as there is a high risk of the repayment and due to the debates of the
non performing asset, finance ministry is in no mood to increase NPA.
In the meeting, Govt found out the middle way and
decided the new scheme E2E- Enrollment to Employment where with the admission
in IIT the student enrollment number will link to the unemployed exchange and
he will get the priority to get the jobs after the graduation.
Minister took small Q&A after the announcement of
this decision:
FN reporter: Does this not reflect that there is
no jobs in India for engineers that Govt. even has to find jobs for the IITins?
Minister: It will reduce the leakage as
enrollment link to the exchange.
FN reporter: But, in case of no leakage?
Minister: You should take admission in Yale to
understand the issue.
